The Second World War pilot who became a Silver Surfer in his 90s
Born in 1919, Gordon Lawson trained pilots in Africa during the Second World War but later left the RAF on religious grounds as a conscientious objector. In 2017, he was awarded a Silver Surfer award for learning and using new technology in his 90s.
